Thank You

The Spokane Humane Society partnered with Friends of Centennial Trail to host the 2nd annual Tails on the Trail walk on Saturday, May 17th.

There were 62 walkers and 12 dogs rented from Spokane Humane Society. We would like to thank FOCT for their support and generosity to us. The walk raised $145 while getting our dogs out enjoying the beautiful sunny day!

We look forward to the event growing in 2009!

On behalf of our animals, members and staff, I would like to extend a very special thank you and a big Woo Hoo to the nearly 200 members of your team that participated in the Comcast Cares Day project at the Spokane Humane Society. I am always amazed at what can be accomplished when an organization such as yours chooses to make caring for critters a priority.

Your dedicated team swarmed our facility and warmed our hearts. In one day your team transformed our tired building and grounds into an energized fresh inviting atmosphere that will make a visit to our place much more enjoyable not only for our temporary furry friends but also for our visitors and staff. Your team's work has given us a boost and has once again instilled pride in our facility.

This incredible day was made possible by COMCAST and most notably a few very dedicated COMCAST employees; please pass along our sincere gratitude to Shirley Parks, Bridgett Gibson, Mike Parks, Ruth Longardner, Jeremy Saty and the rest of the planning group and program volunteers.

Thank you for your support, time, friendship and fun this past weekend; your good deeds and actions send a very clear message to your customers, employees and to the whole community that you care about needy animals in Spokane. We will continue to benefit from your 2008 Comcast Cares Day for many years to come.

NW Seed & Pet is selling our Paws for a Cause in both of their stores! We so appreciate all that they have done for us and continue to do for us!

The Spokane Humane Society would like to thank The Spokane Home Builder's Association for their incredible donation of the "Lighthouse" doghouse. The doghouse was built by their apprenticeship program and is incredibly accessorized.

We are selling raffle tickets for the doghouse ($1.00 each) from now until Saturday, June 21st at 1:00. Need not be present to win. If you wish to buy some tickets, please come to the shelter, 6607 N Havana, or visit us at our Bloomsday Tradeshow Booth (#814) at the Spokane Convention Center.

All the money goes to benefit the animals at The Spokane Humane Society and we are all so thankful for this incredible donation for the critters!

An extra special thank you to Kim Waseca-Love from the Spokane Home Builder's Association. Kim is the mastermind behind the donation and ticket sales during the show! She has done an incredible job with being our partner!
