Description

Vitamin C came into the shelter with his family, Mickey, Tinkerbell and Mini. He is a shy boy at first meeting but you'll soon see just how sweet he really is. His entire family is the same, starting off shy and soon turning into cuddle bugs. Our first meeting was with him cowering at the back of the cage, sick, head down, ears back, hissing. It turned out to be mostly all show. He just needed to know he could trust us. Start slowly and quietly and he will let you know when he is ready to make the first move. Now, a gentle little touch and a soft voice will cause him to fall over onto his side, 'swim' towards you slowly, and push his head and shoulders into your hand. He is an absolute sweetie. He startles with quick movements and loud noises. He was also born with the lower portion of a back leg missing, but he has adapted well and can do just about anything any other cat can do. He will need a calm, gentle home where he feels completely safe so that he doesn't need to try and run on his little stump. Probably a home without children or dogs. He loves other cats so if you have a gentle friend at home, I'm sure he wouldn't mind. He's a beautiful boy with a gentle personality, just like his siblings. Ideally we'd like them to go home together. Come in and meet Vitamin C, spend a few quiet minutes with him and you'll see the attraction. He'll probably turn into a couch potato…..
