Dolly is a shy but sweet dog who needs an experienced owner to help her gain confidence. She has met and played with a few mellower dogs here at the shelter and she tolerated them pretty well, but was still a little too shy to play. Dolly does not like to be looked at directly, and does not like to be reached for, however if you have her on leash and just quietly walk next her, she will walk with you willingly and happily and even enjoys a few pets on the head. Because she is so shy and skittish, a home with a secure fence of 6 feet or higher is an absolute must. We do not recommend a home with young children for Dolly as kids can be active in such a way that startles her and may cause her to bolt. Do you want to help a shy sweet dog learn how to be happy and well in the world? Dolly may be the dog for you!
