What happens when you ask your dog, “wanna go for a walk?” Does your dog dance? Run to the door? Jump up on you?
Now, we want to ask you, “wanna go for a walk?”
The 18th Annual Parade of Paws is just around 5 weeks away and we still need walkers! What’s keeping you?
My dog is too reactive and I can’t bring him. You don’t have to bring a dog. You can walk without one, or depending on what’s in our kennels, you might be able to walk one of our shelter dogs!
I don’t want to ask my friends and family for money. You can make the donation yourself. But just posting on social media that you are
walking may inspire friends/family to donate.
I don’t want to walk. Then you can participate virtually! Sign up on our website and links will be created for you to share on social media or via email.
The funds raised at Parade of Paws help us take care of dogs and cats that don’t have homes. You know, the cute and cuddly puppies and kittens spend very little time in the shelter. Parade of Paws raises money for those dogs and cats who have a little grey around the edges, or who are scared or shy, or those animals who have special behavior needs.
This year we have 2 new, exciting features – Bark, A Rescue Pub will be operating a beer garden, and Chad White of Zona Blanca and TT’s Old Iron Brewery and BBQ, will be serving BBQ plates. Island Style Food Truck will be there if BBQ isn’t your thing and Gypsy Java will have your caffeine punch. Top it all off with ice cream scooped by Ben & Jerry’s.
