Donate Pet Items: We take donations of new or used items including pet beds, blankets, towels, pet toys, pet food, and so much more!

Donate to SHS STAR Fund: Special Treatment and Recovery (STAR) allows us to provide life-saving medical care to abused, neglected, injured and sick shelter animals. This past summer our clinic team saved the lives of seven kittens who had a severe contagious illness called Panleukopenia Virus “Panleuk,” thanks to the Star Fund. Read the whole story HERE.
Sponsor a shelter animal: Head over to our WEBSITE to view all adoptable animals and decide who you want to sponsor. Then, come into our shelter location to make your donation! The best animals to sponsor are our long-term animals who have been in shelter living for over 400 days. One animal in particular who needs your support is Dr. Pepper who has been searching for his forever family for over 700 days.
Donate to SHS: Donations can be made online on our WEBSITE. Your donations go towards supporting the shelter animals with comfy bedding, yummy food and treats, and lots of toys/enrichment activities; as well as upgrading our shelter to provide the best quality of life for our animals. We recently upgraded our Kennel 2, and the dogs are LOVING it!
Monthly giving: Giving monthly saves lives and provides a consistent impact to our shelter animals, plus you get tax benefits! Head over to our WEBSITE for more information.
Volunteer: We are always looking for more help at the shelter… from laundry or dishes to walking dogs or cuddling with the cats, there is always something that needs to get done. If you are interested in volunteering, click HERE.
